Aiqudo announced it has raised $5.2 million in Series A financing. Two investors contributed to the round, including Atlantic Bridge Ventures.

Aiqudo’s Voice-to-Action Platform, called Q, bridges the gap between virtual assistants and mobile apps by giving consumers the freedom to use voice commands to access and invoke actions within mobile apps they already know and use regularly. Its software seeks to eliminate the silos between mobile apps, letting people move seamlessly from one action to the next using natural voice commands. There’s no longer a need to find and open individual apps, navigate to specific functions and tap for actions. Instead, people can voice-enable their preferred apps on smartphones, use apps hands-free while driving in their cars, or use them with preferred virtual assistants at home.

According to the company, Aiqudo plans to announce the availability of its software for developers and partners, its first virtual-assistant integrations, and a mobile app for consumers in beta later this summer.
