Communications startup Wavecell announced it has secured $8 million in Series B financing. Four investors participated in the funding, among them Qualgro Asean Fund, MDI Ventures, and Wavemaker Partners.
Wavecell provides cloud-based real-time communication services to enterprises. Enterprises and application developers can easily integrate Wavecell APIs to add unified communication capabilities to their applications and services: SMS, push notifications, and voice and video calls.
In its announcement, the company said the new capital will be used to strengthen the company’s presence in Asia Pacific countries, to serve the enterprise space, and to reinforce the company’s relations with both local and global mobile carriers.
