Staffing agency engagement platform Sense Talent Labs Raises $10 Million

HR technology startup Sense Talent Labs announced it has secured $10 million in Series A financing. Accel Partners, GV, Signia Venture Partners, IDG Ventures, and Khosla Ventures participated in the funding.

Sense Talent Labs aims to reinvent the way staffing companies build long-term relationships with their workforces by creating the industry’s first engagement platform to provide a “white-glove” service to consultants.

According to the company, contingent staffing is broken. The American Staffing Association maintains that between 10 and 20 percent of consultants drop off before their assignment starts, and more than 70 percent of them never get re-deployed through the same staffing agency. Sense Talent Labs is a consultant engagement platform that is specifically designed for staffing agencies to help reduce turnover, increase re-deployment rates, and provide a real-time 360-degree view on the pulse of their consultants. By automating the consultant experience, Sense ensures that no consultant ever falls through the cracks or experiences expensive frustrating errors.

The company plans to use proceeds to support hiring and product development.
