Digital Media startup Make.TV announced it has raised $8.5 million in financing. Nine investors participated in the round, including Voyager Capital, Microsoft Ventures, Vulcan Capital, Arnold Capital, Adobe Ventures, and Telstra.
Make.TVs live video cloud enables live and near-live video acquisition of both user-generated and premium content contributed from smartphones, mobile pro cameras, encoders and even social video feeds. Make.TV is also a SaaS provider for TV stations, publishers, MCNs and smaller media outlets, with existing customers, including FOX SPORTS, Viacom, RTL, and ESL.
According to the company, Make.TV will use its new funding rapidly to accelerate its product development, marketing, and sales efforts globally.
