Security company Illumio announced it has secured $125 million in financing. Six investors participated in the round: JPMorgan Chase Bank, Andreessen Horowitz, General Catalyst Partners, 8VC and Accel Partners.
Illumio’s Adaptive Security Platform (ASP) delivers visibility and control over workloads running in any data center or cloud environment, independent of underlying infrastructure. It computes security policies and ensures they are provisioned accurately by understanding and continuously adapting to changes in infrastructure and applications. According to the company, organizations use Illumio ASP to operate at speed, while ensuring that security keeps pace.
In its announcement, the company said it plans to use the funds to expand its sales, marketing and customer service operations as it enters new markets in Europe and Asia.
