Live events technology startup Hurdl announced the close of $2.5 million in seed financing. Four investors participated in the funding, among them CBS, Turner Broadcasting, and Sound Ventures.
Founded in 2016 and based in Nashville, TN, Hurdl Enterprises is a software company that develops and offers a B2B and event-based interactive device system and predictive marketing technology. The company’s system provides access to experiential live events by engaging fans based on individual interests, team preferences, listening behavior, age, gender, and brand interactions. It aims to develop the global live events marketplace by creating new data sets on entire audiences and offering a new direct marketing channel to engaged consumers to clients such as Apple Music, Spotify, Pandora, recording artists and record labels, the NBA, the NHL, casinos, and amusement parks.
The company revealed that funds from the round will be used for further development of Hurdl’s SaaS tool, which allows clients easily to target qualified marketing leads.
