ECommerce Startup Unbxd Raises $12.5 Million

Unbxd announced the close of $12.5 million in Series C financing. Five investors participated in the round, including Eight Roads, Fidelity Management & Research Company, IDG Ventures, and Inventus Capital Partners.

Unbxd helps online visitors on ecommerce websites find the right products through powerful search and retailers to convert these visitors into customers. Unbxd has built a search system that the company claims is “almost human.” The system learns from each visit, but, unlike most other search systems, it shares its intelligence with the website being visited. The goal is to provide companies with deep insight into who visited, their demographics, and customer-product relationships.

In its announcement, the company said the new funds will be used to enhance Unbxd’s proprietary intelligence engine.
