Homer Logistics announced it has raised $8.5 million in Series A financing. Four investors contributed to the round: Two Sigma Ventures, Lerer Hippeau Ventures, RSE Ventures, and Laconia Ventures.
Homer focuses on areas with large demand for delivered items and uses software to make delivery fulfillment as efficient as possible. Through advanced order assignment methods, the company provides delivery solutions that are both faster and cheaper than current methods, ranging from FedEx to Amazon and Postmates.
In its announcement, Homer Logistics said it will use the financing to expand its research capabilities and technical team to continue improving its ability to drive operational efficiencies for its customers.
