Apptegy announced the completion of $6 million in financing from Five Elms Capital.

Launched in 2015 and headquartered in Little Rock, Arkansas, Apptegy’s goal is to help schools thrive as they transition to a 21st-century model of education. School districts have major communication challenges sending messages across all of the channels through which community members expect to see information. Social media, mobile, and the responsive web have left schools behind in their ability to engage and tell stories. To address that problem, Apptegy builds simple communication tools that make storytelling easy for anyone in the school. With its Thrillshare publishing platform, districts can write a message once and share it across their custom-built Android App, iPhone App, website, Facebook, Twitter, text message, and voice channels.

In its announcement, the company said the investment will allow Apptegy to enhance its product offerings and accelerate sales and marketing efforts.
