Digital Media Startup Epic! Secures $8 Million

Epic! completed $8 million in Series C financing. Seven investors participated in the round: Reach Capital, Translink Capital, Rakuten, Menlo Ventures, WI Harper, Brighteye Ventures, and Innovation Endeavors.

Epic! provides an unlimited selection of eBooks that can be instantly discovered, read, and shared with friends. The company allows parents and families to access thousands of high quality, curated children’s books without having to purchase or download them one by one. Available on all iOS and Android devices, Epic! provides kids with personal libraries they can take anywhere.

The company revealed that it will use the funds to accelerate growth, expand its team, and build out its platforms for both homes and schools.
