The Climate Corporation Acquires Agriculture Tech Startup HydroBio

HydroBio announced that it has been acquired by The Climate Corporation, a digital agriculture company that examines weather, soil, and field data to help farmers determine potential yield-limiting factors in their fields.

HydroBio is a SaaS-based agricultural technology startup that uses satellite image-driven analytics to conserve water and maximize crop yields. It provides its users with irrigation prescription, equipment integration, and crop monitoring services.

Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. The HydroBio team will join The Climate Corporation, strengthening the latter company’s efforts to deliver industry-leading digital technologies to farmers around the world.
