On December 5 and 6, TechCrunch will descend upon London to host TechCrunch Disrupt, its leading technology conference series. Following its successful Disrupt SF 2016 event in September, TechCrunch will again be showcasing innovative startups, exploring new technologies, and highlighting the tech industry’s most noteworthy trends.

In 2016, the two technology trends that seem most poised to reshape business and culture have been artificial intelligence and virtual reality. Disrupt London will welcome several startups and entrepreneurs making waves in the AI, AR, and VR scenes across Europe. Chris Boos, founder and CEO of Frankfurt-based artificial intelligence company Arago, which has raised more than $50 million, will be a featured speaker at the event. Arago helps businesses bring intelligent automation to their IT processes, and Boos will be sharing with conference attendees exactly how AI is superior to human performance in certain scenarios. Another industry-recognized pioneer in AR and AI, Omar Tayeb, will be featured on Disrupt London’s stage. Tayeb is the CTO and Co-Founder of Blippar, a London-based startup that has developed an image-recognition platform for users to discover useful and entertaining content about physical objects they scan. The four-year-old startup has raised nearly $100 million in funding and was named by CNBC as one of the top ten tech disruptors in 2016.

While Britain is still reeling from the aftermath of the Brexit vote, tech entrepreneurs in both Europe and the U.S. are still unsure how Britain’s upcoming withdrawal from the European Union will affect their businesses in the long run. Not surprisingly, Brexit will be a key focus of discussion at Disrupt London. In an unusual move for a technology event, TechCrunch is dedicating a policy-focused panel to explore how to stop what it has dubbed ‘“Brexit Brain Drain.” TechCrunch will also be revealing the results of an exclusive survey that investigated how entrepreneurs and investors feel about the post-Brexit British and European future.
