White House Wednesday: Cementing Obama’s legacy as the first digital president, the White House announced today that it’s now possible to send messages directly to Obama using Facebook’s Messenger chatbot. These text messages will presumably join the stream of incoming mail going to POTUS, from which his staff selects ten letters he reads every night. Start texting!

Jason Goldman, chief digital officer at the White House, announced today on his Medium blog that people can now send notes to President Obama via the office’s Facebook Messenger chatbot. Facebook users can simply go to the White House’s Facebook page, click on “Message,” and type in their messages to POTUS — just as they text their friends on Facebook. Read more →
