The Daily Brief

Wednesday, July 20, 2016

Today, with some trepidation, we are introducing our newest editorial feature, The Daily Douchebag. We feel strongly that those with unchecked arrogance, or people who are just plain mean, should be called out as the jerks they are. Our first winner is below. Please feel free to submit your nominations for consideration by sending an email to admin@newscenter.io.

The Daily Douchebag: Today’s clear winner is Breitbart commentator Milo Yiannopoulos, who urged his Twitter followers to bombard Ghostbusters star Leslie Jones with negative and racist comments. The barrage got so bad that Jones left Twitter, after which the social network closed down Yiannopoulos’ account and banned him from the service. As a Twitter spokesperson told Buzzfeed, “No one deserves to be subjected to targeted abuse online.”
