LivePerson, Inc. (Nasdaq: LPSN), a technology provider of brand-to-consumer communications, announced this week that it is partnering with GoDaddy to bring its conversational chat capabilities to GoDaddy’s 14 million-plus clients. The chat capability is available via LiveEngage, LivePerson’s platform for mobile and web messaging.

LiveEngage helps businesses connect with customers by providing a cloud-based platform that manages live chat and mobile messaging. It allows business owners to streamline customer sales and support channels in a single dashboard, where users can monitor important analytics such as agent activity levels. The platform also supports CRM data integration, making it possible for agents to provide more personalized customer care. According to LivePerson, Fortune 500 companies such as Adobe, Citibank, and IBM use the LiveEngage platform.

The new deal enables GoDaddy’s typical small- to medium-sized businesses to optimize their sites for a better customer experience by taking advantage of LiveEngage’s reporting and analytics functions.

“Consumers expect more personal interaction with small companies, but small and mid-sized companies often have the least available bandwidth for customer care,” said LivePerson founder and CEO Robert LoCascio in an official statement. “LiveEngage helps them deliver the level of support that the consumer has come to expect from resource-rich enterprise companies while maintaining the personal connections their businesses are built on.”

“By teaming up with LivePerson, GoDaddy customers have the opportunity to quickly, easily, and affordably enhance their customer experience with LiveEngage and start connecting with their customers immediately,” added Jeff Lulenski, vice president of GoDaddy’s Global Partner Network.
