Appetize, a Los Angeles-based point of sale (POS) provider, has been selected as the exclusive POS partner for the new U.S. Bank Stadium, a 66,800 seat stadium located in the center of Minneapolis, Minnesota — home to the Minnesota Vikings. The venue is scheduled to open next month and has been selected to host Super Bowl LII (2018) and the NCAA Men’s Final Four in 2019.
Founded in 2011, Appetize has quickly grown to be the leading order and payment technology provider serving more than 400 entertainment venues and festivals. Through this new partnership, Appetize will help the U.S. Bank Stadium provide digitally integrated fan experiences to its customers using advanced payment processing innovations such as smart queuing, mobile ordering and ticketing solutions.
“Appetize offered the best and most innovative solution for our visitors to be able to find and purchase food and beverages quickly and easily in U.S. Bank Stadium,” said Michele Kelm-Helgen, chair of the Minnesota Sports Facilities Authority, which owns the stadium. She further pointed out that the efficiency Appetize will bring to the event is particularly valuable because fans can spend more time enjoying themselves rather than waiting in line.
