Attivo Networks announced the completion of $21 million in Series C financing led by Trident Capital Cybersecurity, with participation from Bain Capital Ventures and Omidyar Network.

Attivo Networks provides accurate network level threat detection, analysis, and response to advanced, credential, insider, and ransomware attacks. The Attivo Deception and Response Platform provides continuous visibility and threat management for user networks, data centers, cloud, branch, IoT, ICS-SCADA, and POS environments. The solution’s advanced attack analysis and lateral movement tracking automate investigation, deliver evidence-based alerts, and related forensic reports.

The company said that this new funding will be used to support further development of the Attivo Deception and Response Platform to address the evolving landscape of threats and attack surfaces and add counterintelligence functionality. Attivo Networks will also use the funds to expand its global sales initiatives.
