Digital Media Startup Torch 3D Closes $3.5 Million

Torch 3D announced the close of $3.5 million in seed financing led by Venture Reality Fund and Silicon Valley Data Capital. Seven Peaks Ventures, Presence Capital, TWB Investment Partnership, GVR Fund, Antipodean Ventures, and Jerome Capital also participated.

Torch 3D provides prototyping and collaboration in augmented reality (AR) and virtual reality (VR)  for teams and individuals. Users simply upload and manage both 2D and 3D assets, and Torch ensure the assets work across any device. Users can also share prototypes with anyone on any device, work on projects collaboratively, and collect feedback in real time.

The financing will be used to complete Torch 3D’s beta offering for public release and its team expansion.
