Software startup AtScale announced it has secured $25 million in Series C financing led by Atlantic Bridge Ventures. Wells Fargo & Co., Industry Ventures, Storm Ventures, UMC Capital, Comcast Ventures and XSeed Capital also participated.

AtScale, which was was created by Hadoop and business intelligence veterans, bridges the gap between business users and their favorite visualization tools on the one hand and underlying Hadoop data platforms on the other. Members of the founding team started AtScale based on their personal experiences building business intelligence solutions on Hadoop at companies including Yahoo!, Klout, and Conductor. After struggling with existing technologies year after year, the founders decided it was time to solve the problems they encountered, so they started AtScale. The company is already working with customers across multiple industries – from direct marketing services to online gaming and consumer retail – to deliver on the promise of BI on Hadoop.
