Advanced Materials Startup FRX Polymers Secures $12 Million

FRX Polymers announced the close of $12 million in financing. Three investors participated in the round, among them Brightfield Chemical.

FRX Polymers, Inc., was founded in 2007 following more than five years of intensive research and development in the field of halogen-free polymeric flame retardant blend components. The company manufactures Nofia polyphosphonates, a brand of novel non-halogen, transparent, high melt flowing and fire resistant plastics.

The company revealed that FRX Polymers intends to use the funds for business growth in Asia and  to start an Antwerp, Belgium-based plant expansion project.
