Security startup Threat Stack announced the completion of $45 million in Series C financing led by F-Prime Capital and Eight Roads. Scale Venture Partners, .406 Ventures and Accomplice also participated in the funding.

Threat Stack provides continuous security monitoring for public, private, and hybrid cloud infrastructures, protecting servers and the data they access from intrusion and data loss. It is purpose-built for cloud environments, where network-based controls cannot be deployed.

The company revealed that it plans to grow its employee base by another 30 percent in 2017, while nearly doubling the size of its downtown Boston headquarters. Threat Stack is also committed to continued investment and innovation in Boston, as it simultaneously works to expand its footprint in North America and around the globe.
