Konnected.io is a home Internet-of-things product that turns wired home security systems into connected devices. It allows people to connect existing door and window sensors, motion detectors, and smoke detectors to SmartThings, an open platform for smart homes and the consumer Internet-of-things. Using Konnected.io’s DIY kit, free software, and detailed instructions, users can re-wire their home alarm systems and convert them to SmartThings alarms. The Konnected Security DIY kit includes everything people need to connect up to 6 wired sensors or zones and one siren and alarm or strobe. It currently sells for $49 per unit.
Konnected.io was developed by founder and CEO Nate Clark.
