Social media startup Kudos announced the close of $5.7 million in seed financing from an undisclosed investor.
Kudos is a kids-exclusive social media network that lets kids explore their interests, send comments, and react to their friend’s posts. It is a place where kids connect with their friends by sharing photos and drawings. To discard inappropriate posts and ban suspicious users, content moderators from Kudos are on duty 24 hours, 7 days a week to review shared photos, comments and captions. Kudos has also implemented a parental supervision feature for users younger than 13, making it easy for parents to monitor their child’s activities.
The company revealed that Kudos intends to use the funds to increase business development and marketing efforts and to continue to expand its engineering and leadership teams.
