HR and staffing startup Jopwell announced it has secured $7.5 million in Series A financing. Cue Ball Group, Magic Johnson Enterprises, Andreessen Horowitz, and Kapor Capital participated in the funding.

Jopwell is a digital diversity recruitment platform connecting Black, Latino/Hispanic, and Native American professionals and students with top companies for jobs and internships at all levels. Launched by former Goldman Sachs employees Porter Braswell and Ryan Williams in January, 2015, the Jopwell platform enables partner companies to search and recruit from a pipeline of candidates from backgrounds historically underrepresented at top-tier companies – from technology startups and investment banks to nonprofits and hospitals.

According to the company, this new round of funding will enable Jopwell to scale and take on more clients.
