Skyword announced it has closed $6 million in debt financing from Multiplier Capital.

Skyword is a content marketing software and services platform that aims to make it easy to produce, optimize, and promote content at any scale. Skyword also provides brands with access to a community of thousands of freelance writers and videographers, an editorial team, and program managers.

Brands have authored and published more than one million original stories as articles, videos, images, infographics, podcasts, and animations on the Skyword platform. According to the company, these stories have been viewed more than 1.5 billion times, and Skyword has paid freelance creatives more than $20 million on behalf of brands. Skyword’s clients have included Abbott Laboratories, Lahey Health, HortonWorks, GE Health, Glenmede, Groupon, and others.

In its announcement, the company said the funds will be used to support its revenue momentum and provide the necessary capital to reach profitability in 2018.
