Biba Brings In $1.3 Million in Series A Funding

AR kids gaming startup Biba Brings In $1.3 Million in Series A Funding

Edtech startup Biba announced it has secured $1.3 million in Series A financing, led by Leonite Capital.

Biba turns playgrounds across North America and beyond into smart playgrounds that engage parents and children through augmented reality games and mobile apps. The company tracks kids’ play time so that municipalities and park boards can learn more about their community play spaces. Parents can also track kids’ progress based on family-friendly fitness metrics.

In its announcement, the company said the funding will be used to fuel research and development, create additional games, and install more Biba playgrounds around the world.
