Jamey Seely Hired as Vice President and General Counsel by Gates

Gates, based in Denver, CO, announced that it has appointed Jamey Seely as vice president and general counsel. According to the company, Gates Corporation is a world leader in engineering and manufacturing power transmission and fluid conveyance solutions. In her new role as VP, Seely will assume responsibility for all legal matters for Gates, including corporate governance, M&A, litigation, regulatory matters, compliance, patents and trademarks, real estate, employment, and environmental.

Prior to joining Gates, Seely worked at Ion Geophysical, a leading technology firm in the global oil and gas industry, where she served as general counsel leading all corporate law and governance matters across multiple continents. She has also held executive leadership roles at NRG Energy, Nuclear Innovation North America (NINA), and Direct Energy. In addition, Seely has private practice experience as a partner at Thompson & Knight, LLC, a premier law firm in Houston, TX.
