Stripe Acquires Payable for Undisclosed Sum

Business payment technology company Stripe announced that it has acquired Payable, an HR compensation platform for contractors. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Payable helps contractors get paid faster and more efficiently. The company is on a mission to strengthen the 1099 workforce by making invoicing, work-tracking, onboarding, and calculating earnings and taxes as simple as possible for both contractors and the companies they work with.
