Edtech startup wonderschool announced the close of $2 million in Series A financing. Six investors contributed to the round: First Round Capital, SoftTech VC, Lerer Hippeau Ventures, FundersClub, Edelweiss Syndicate and Cross Culture Ventures.

Wonderschool was started in 2016 by a group of educators and technologists in California. With a mission to provide quality childcare to every child in the world, the company has developed a platform that allows people to start preschools in their homes. Wonderschool features a “preschool-in-a-box” model that provides assistance on everything from licensing and curriculum to school setup. The company’s software allows teachers to manage students, parents, and their schools from a single dashboard. Parents are also able to search Wonderschool programs, schedule visits, enroll their children, and make payments.
