Gaming Startup Scopely Secures $60 Million
Scopely announced the close of $60 million in Series C financing. Revolution Growth, Greenspring Global Partners, Sands Capital Management, Cross Creek Capital and Pritzker Group Venture Capital participated in the funding.
Scopely aims to be the leading touchscreen entertainment network. Founded in 2011, Scopely partners and collaborates with elite game developers and global entertainment companies to bring industry leading distribution and monetization technology to free-to-play games. Scopely oversees marketing, analytics, ads, business development, quality assurance, and community management, among other functions, empowering developers to focus on building and refining great gameplay experiences.
The company revealed that Scopely will use the funds for strategic investments, commercial partnerships and acquisitions.
