Edtech Startup MyTutor Secures $3.8 Million to connect pupils with college students as tutors

MyTutor announced it has raised $3.8 million in Series A financing. Three investors participated in the round, among them Mobeus Equity Partners.

MyTutor’s marketplace matches school pupils searching for tutors with university students looking for rewarding work. Lessons take place in an online learning space, allowing parents to substitute expensive tutors coming to their houses for one-on-one online sessions with bright and successful undergraduates studying at the UK’s top universities. Every live session is recorded, so students can review it later.

Founded in 2013, MyTutor is now the leading online tutoring provider used by more than 10,000 students across the UK and beyond.
