Capsule Raises $20 Million

Digital pharmacy startup Capsule announced the close of $20 million in financing. Three investors participated in the round: Thrive Capital, Sound Ventures, and Virgin Group.

Capsule is pioneering a next-generation pharmacy. Currently operating only in New York City, Capsule hand-delivers prescriptions to patients whenever and wherever they need them. According to the company, any doctor can prescribe through Capsule and the service is free to consumers; Capsule works directly with insurance companies to facilitate copays so patients never have to worry about running out of refills.
